Breakfast: wintermelon pastry
I did some Googling and apparently wintermelon pastries are called sweetheart cakes or wife cakes in English. In my opinion, wife cake is the more literal translation of the Cantonese name “lo poh beng”. But I guess sweetheart cake has become the more commonly used name because it sounds nicer.
Lunch: leftover asparagus stir-fry with white rice
Snack: mandarin orange
Dinner: leftover L&L – lau lau and kalua pork, macaroni salad – and some extra white rice
Dessert: six girl scout thin mints and milk
